At the seminar we organized today for the women of Peksimet Village:

Tülay Ersoy, the Chair of our club's Polio Committee, spoke about the work Rotary is doing to eradicate polio worldwide.

Following this, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Emiroğlu, a General Surgery Specialist at Memorial Bodrum Hospital, gave a highly informative presentation on breast cancer. The meeting concluded after a Q&A session.

There were 50 of us in total, including the board members of the Peksimet Education and Culture Association, the women of Peksimet Village, and our club members.

The news I received afterward was delightful: Memorial Bodrum Hospital has agreed to provide breast cancer screenings for 40 women.
